Camar Tolley Obituary

Tolley Camar Dee Tolley, 55, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 22, 2014. She was surrounded and comforted by family and friends in her home in Powell, Ohio. Born in Philo, Ohio, Camar was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Cartwright and Marcella (Fitz) Cartwright. Camar grew up in Philo, Ohio where her creativity and imagination allowed her to run free and create life long childhood friendships. Camar was Philo High School's homecoming queen in 1978. She later received a degree in Psychology and became the director of the YMCA childcare in Zanesville, Ohio. In 1988, Camar married the love of her life David Tolley, and moved to Los Angeles for 20 years. A cherished and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother; she is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Lancaster Tolley; son, David Christofori Tolley; daughter, Hilary (Erik) Battes; grandsons Maverik and Wyatt; daughter Christina Cartwright Tolley; and daughter Cosette Elizabeth Tolley. She is also survived by her identical twin sister, Carma (John) Benson; sister Caralee (Mike) Danison; and brother Cameron Cartwright. Camar will be remembered for seeing the beauty in everyday life and God's wonders of nature. Her love for life was simply beautiful. She defied all odds and praised the Lord for each day she was given. A public memorial service to celebrate the life of Camar Tolley will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Road (Corner of Olentangy River Road & Home Road) Delaware, OH 43015, (740) 548-6075. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Liberty Presbyterian Church, c/o "Camar Tolley Memorial Fund," to support the Stephen's Ministry program, who have been true angels to Camar during her battle with cancer. I only had the pleasure of meeting Camar a few times, but I remember how she made me feel like I was her best friend.

Camar was always so happy and fun to be around. We took dance lessons together at Marjorie Holzchuher's and also took a college Spring Break trip to Florida with her and some other fun girls. I am surprised and saddened that Camar is gone at such an early age. I have happy memories of her. May God comfort you in your sorrow,
