Charles Kistler Obituary

KISTLER Charles O. Kistler, age 82, died Friday, October 1, 2010. He was the son of Joseph and Florence Kistler, born May 5, 1928 in Columbus. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Joseph, Robert, James and Roland, sisters Elizabeth, Pauline, Martha, Alma, Agnes, Nora and Bonnie. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Libby Kistler; sister, Doris Lynn of Louisville, KY; stepdaughters, Leslee Dixon of Reynoldsburg and Judy Hatfield of Jasper, GA; stepson, Robert (Brenda) Furbee of Gahanna; stepsons-in-law, Tom Hatfield and Ken Mapp from GA; 7 step grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; 4 step great great-grandchildren. Charles retired from Hill Distributing Co. He had been employed by Penn Railroad, a carpenter for the State of Ohio, Ohio Steak and BBQ and a self employed contractor. Family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where services will be held 10 a.m., Monday. Burial later at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
