To Chuck's family,

I worked with Chuck for many years at AT&T/Lucent. He was an excellent engineer and a great friend. Chuck was a role model to many, including myself. I will most remember Chuck's optimism and enthusiasm for life. My prayers are with you.

Dear Midge,

Janis and I want to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Years ago when you lived in Huber Ridge, Ruth Ann and I would visit you and we had so much fun. Chuck was such a great guy. He introduced me to Country Music and I love it to this day. I will always have a special place in my heart for Chuck.

I am so sorry for your loss. i worked with Chuck in lumber and millwork at the Home Depot. I really admire him working even tho he was retired. He was always working on a "honey do" list from home or some other project. A few years ago I was talking to him and he was telling me how excited he was that his daughter and family were coming home for the holidays, his face just lite up when he was taliking about that. I will rewally miss him. God Bless,

Midge, Katie, karl and Family:

I am so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. Chuck and I were very close while growing up. We spent much time together. Chuck and I spent many days and evenings at his parents house in the winter on Mulberry Street, Toledo, Ohio building model airplanes. The summers were filled with swimming and playing baseball. When we could find a gym open in the winter we spent time playing basketball. Chuck was a superb athlete and much stronger then most of us in his youth.

I was with him the evening he met Midge. He asked her to dance and the dance continued through his life. I was also his best man at the wedding. After he was married we drifted apart. Through the years I have reminisced the days of Chuck and I and how I missed him so. We were a team.

Not only was chuck a good athlete but as you know his intelligence was unmatchable, and yet he never portrayed himself above others. He was always just one of the guys.

Through the years I tried to rekindle the spark we had together but it could never catch on. We had our day together and somehow time and life's obligations had erased the closeness that existed between us.

I have and always will remember the years of chuck and I, for they were some of the best a person could ever have. He was a giant among men.

You and your family have my deepest sympathy for a man whom I have always admired and was at one time my very best friend.
