Charles Mixer Obituary

MIXER Charles Lewis Mixer, age 75, passed from this life on Sunday, February 19, 2006. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Born in Lincoln County, W.Va., June 18, 1930. Served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Employed for 26 years with Central Ohio Welding, where he had many treasured friends. Member of Columbia Center Community Church, where he taught Sunday School classes. Charlie enjoyed tending his garden, fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle. He participated in the Senior Olympics with his friends from church and was always quick with a joke. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Marian Mixer, his bride of 35 years, parents Fred and Charlotte Mixer, sister Betty Burns, brother Frederick Mixer and son-in-law Ron Ramsey. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jim (Polly) Ault of Mentor, Oh., Rick Ault of Washington C.H., Oh., Linda (Steve) Cramer of Columbus, Julie Ramsey of Ashville, Oh.; grandchildren, Amy, Rick, Kelly, Tiffany, Nikki, Steven, Troy, Kyle and Alex; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Katie (Don) Carpenter of Whipple, Oh.; sisters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Nicholson of Lakewood, Oh., Gladys Little of Pickerington, Oh.; brother-in-law, Clayton Lewis of Chicago, Ill.; numerous nephews and nieces; dear friends, Adrian Lewis and Jean Kimble. Friends received Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Adrian Lewis officiating. Burial Obetz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Charlie would request donations be made to Columbia Center Community Church, Box 856, 6408 Columbia Rd., Pataskala, Oh. 43062.
