Christopher Holehouse Obituary

Holehouse Christopher Eric Holehouse, 33. Our beloved Chris passed away Tuesday evening December 8th after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Chris was born September 4, 1982. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; his father, Ed (Kim); mother, Lainey MacArthur (Steve); brother, Seth (Anna); sister, Jayna (Chyna); grandparents, Craig and Bonnie Stanley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris joined his brother Seth in New York City in 2009 and became involved in human rights most specifically the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. He started working at The Epoch Times newspaper (where he met his wife Charlotte) writing music and entertainment reviews. Chris was always a talented and amazing writer. He then went into advertising sales where he quickly became the top salesperson for the paper. In his short life, Chris touched thousands of lives with his honest loyalty, vibrant spirit, contagious laugh and his generously kind and loving heart. His spirit will always inspire us all to continue his good works on this earth and he will forever live in our hearts until we meet again! A celebration of Life service (open house) will be held on January 9 from 1-5 p.m., with a short memorial service at 2. The Wine Bistro-Westerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Charlotte Cuthbertson c/o Lainey MacArthur PO box 10369 Columbus, Ohio. 43201

My sweet Chris, I think about you all the time my friend. You and Charlotte have changed my life for the better...not only as a nurse but as a human being. I miss your huge smile, I miss our afternoon lunch dates and our cold brew coffee breaks and most of all I miss your hugs. Until we meet again my angel. Love you always, Renatta and Germaine.

I remember fondly Chris at a brunch at my place -- he was my neighbor in NYC. His passion for human rights was inspiring. Thanks to him I was introduced to the Epoch Times. In retrospect the extra copies in the mailroom I believe were from him. He was generous and lively and creative. I was very saddened to hear that he passed away.

I'm so sad to think that such a sweet young man has left his friends and family so early in his life. I honestly can't think of my little first grader without a smile on his face so I'm sure God has a very special purpose for him in Heaven to take him so soon. May you all stay strong with your memories and know that you're in many thoughts and prayers, including mine.

I am saddened by Christopher's passing. Christopher and I weren't the closest of friends, but we spent time together in Los Angeles and New York, and he is a person I will never forget. Christopher was an honest man with a good heart. He will be missed. My condolences to his family. God bless you, Christopher!

Chris, ever since we worked together making sure the paper got into New Yorkers' hands back in 2009, you have been an huge inspiration to me. You went through, multiple times in your life, more that most human beings could possibly endure, and came out swingingwhole, positive, and inspiringon the other end. You made SO many people's lives that much better for having the chance to have known you, especially myself. Will miss you dearly, good friend, but I also know you're in a better place now. Thank you for giving of yourself so wholly.
