My friend Cody. I think about you often and everytime I do I have so many fun memories of you and the many things we did together in the short time we knew each other. Three unique things just happened this morning that made me think of you. First of all I get this email with your obituary in it reminding me to share a memory I have of you. Along with that and my Google photos a picture of you popped up this morning of you and I we were out walking and you tried to jump over a mud puddle and you didn't quite make it you were covered in mud and sharing that photo. And the weirdest thing I went out to get my mail this morning and in my mailbox You had some mail address to you. Every now and then I get some of your mail from things that you signed up for and you put my address down to have it come here. Thank you for your friendship I enjoyed all the breakfasts that we've had and dinners I enjoyed our trip to South Carolina for most of all I enjoyed all of our talks especially the times when we talked about God and you and I would pray together. You are forever in my thoughts.

Cody and I grew up together in school. Last really great memory I had with him was trick or treating about 3 years ago. I would always pull little pranks like stepping on the backs of his shoes, poke him with small twigs, and little things like that just to get his attention. I seemed a nuisance, but secretly I absolutely adored him since George Washington elem. When I was with him I would walk really close to him because I felt protected. I never got the chance to share my feelings with him. I really wish I would have. I have my little memories with him though to keep me going and his presence with me. I miss you Cody <3

Somewhere in Time....

We shall meet again
our destiny to be known
our time will just begin
for death was not our foe.

We were brought together
there for a time
to help others find their way.

Our path will cross again
and this time we will know
which road to take
which hill to climb
the row to neatly hoe,
for all of our weeds will be wildflowers.

Our tears were rain
for seeds we planted
along the way.

And though the thorns
got in our way, we know why....

Somewhere in Time.

I was very sorry to hear the news of Cody passing away. I enjoyed his company so very much whenever we were together. Our faith is so important at a time like this. Things seem so hopeless and out of control, however, we know that with God's help you will make it through this difficult time. I am praying that God will give you the hope and strength you need. I will remember you all in my thoughts and prayers. I have so many memories of Cody in the short two years that we were friends that I could write a book. When I first met Cody we were standing in his mom's kitchen and he wouldn't even shake my hand. Well it didn't take long for us to go from no hand shake Cody to us almost always greeting one another or saying good-bye to one another with a hug and me saying I love ya dude. Cody and I spent a lot of time playing catch up with each other by going out to eat at different places and we always had two rules when we did eat out. Rule one; because Cody and I were picky eaters we always had to try something new to eat every other time we ate out. Rule 2; Cody always made me pray over our food before we would eat and pray for him as well, which I gladly did. Our trip to South Carolina last year was one of my most memorable weeks with us hanging out and having fun and me telling him this as we took turns driving; listen Cody give me your phone when you drive because you can't drive 70 mph and text at the same time, and he wondered why I couldn't sleep when he was driving LOL. In this picture Cody and I are out walking and he decided to jump over a 13 foot long mud hole but he got to laughing so hard in the run that he fell into the mud hole. I am going to miss you Cody, love ya Dude.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this devastating time. My husband is an older brother to your neighbors, Mike & Amy Lovsey. There are no words that can be said to ease your pain right now. Just know, as you walk through this horrible place, the Lord is there and He will help you. You never get over the loss but you will learn to manage the pain. Our deepest sympathy is with you.
