Crune Carawan Obituary

CARAWAN Crune W. Carawan, 76, of Columbus, died Monday in his residence. He was born April 24, 1933 in Scranton, North Carolina and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Crune retired from Mercury Electric in Columbus and was a member of American Legion Post #614, Hilliard. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith A. (Hill) Carawan; sons, William (Marylyn) Carawan of Raceland, KY and Benega Greene (Candace) Carawan of Galloway; grandchildren, Deloris Cantrell, William L. Carawan, Jr, Tamara R. Hay, Bobbie L. McLaughlin, Christian D. Carawan, Tabitha Carpenter and Troy Carpenter; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sister, Florence Occhipinti of San Jose, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, OH 43140 from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Private interment service will be at the convenience of the family.
