Curtis E. Hardacre

Hardacre Curtis E. Hardacre, age 59, of Canal Winchester, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1957 in Anderson, IN to the late Dallas and Joy Hardacre. Curtis was a member of Brice United Methodist Church and was involved with youth mission camps through church. He loved to cook, enjoyed fishing, also working on projects and fixing things around the house. Curtis had his own language "Curt-isms," that would make you stop and think if you were talking with him. He lived the Boy Scout motto throughout life, while raising two great eagle scouts along the way. Curtis was the backbone and leader of his family, and enjoyed every minute spent with them. The family would take annual trips to Lake Ouachita every year to spend with each other. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Curtis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura; sons, Christopher E. (Katrina) Hardacre, Clint A. (Alicia) Hardacre; grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Logan, Reagan, Anthony; siblings, Jacqueline (Eddie) Pop, Lee (Susan) Hardacre; Aunt June Best; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service, officiated by Steve Buskirk, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday.
