Danny DeVault Obituary
1946 - 2018
Danny Meril DeVault, age 72, passed away at his Hilliard, Ohio residence on May 28, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 9, 1946 to the late Meril and Arnetta (Johnson) DeVault. Danny was a 1964 graduate of Whitmer High School and went on to work at Toledo Beaver Tools, DeVilbiss Company and finished his career as a truck driver for several companies. Dan was a vivacious eater who loved buffets, going out to eat with Sue and attending family gatherings. He enjoyed listening to country music, especially Merle Haggard and Ronnie Milsap, playing music on his keyboard, working on his computer and trying his luck at the casino. Danny is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Susan Leonard DeVault; daughter, Michelle (Doug) Spalding; grandchildren, Carter and Duncan Spalding; his brother, Bill (Vera) DeVault; and sister, Joyce (Mike) Harshman; sister-in-law, Connie DeVault; brother-in-law, Phil Kander; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his daughter Danielle DeVault, his brother David DeVault and sister Judy Kander. Please join the family at Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, Michigan to share in memories and celebrate his life on Friday, June 1. Visitation begins at 2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Association.
