This is a very late entry as I have just found out about Darryl's passing. I met D my freshman year Capital. He lived accross the hall. I wasn't in the same Frat with him, but I always felt a kinship because we were both athletes and in the same Graduating Class. We saw each other almost every day at the gym or in school. What a Class Act he was!! I recently saw him at a 3 on 3 tourney in Mansfield in the summer of 08 I think, where our kids were both playing. Belated sympathy to his family and all the Capital friends of his and mine.

No words can express the joy that Darryl's smile always brought to my heart. I always looked forward to basketball practice because I knew that he would be smiling and have a great time, which made coaching a pleasure being around young mem like Darryl, I hope you forgive me for walking down memory lane but he and his family will always be remembered.

My heart goes out to the LeVert family. As Capital alums, there are many memories of Darryl I will hold close to my heart and when I think of them, all I do is smile. I'm very saddened I missed his call a month or so ago. He was so proud of his family! His positive spirit, smile, everything about him, very infectious!
May God give you the strength & support of loved ones you need to see you through this time. May you hold memories dear to your heart and know your guardian angel is above watching over and protecting his loved ones.

Though I lost touch with Darryl over the years, I often think about him. If I ever need to smile, I have many memories to think back on. You could always count on Darryl to make you smile. Even though deeply saddened today, I take comfort in having another friend keeping an eye on me from above until we meet again.

To The Levert Family, My sincere sympathy goes out to your family. God has a plan for us all and sometimes we can't or don't understand what that is in these times, but Darryl was a great person and he will live through us all as he has touched so many in his own special way. His infectious laugh, being so proud of his children when you talked to him and his love for his wife and family. Darryl was a rock of a person in many ways. God Bless your family

My heart is heavy and my words just don't seem adequate. Darryl brought so much to everyone's life he touched. I recall how he glowed with pride when he spoke of his wife and children. He was always so appreciate of his parents and sisters. My heart is warmed as I think of his gentle soul with that wonderful sense of humor and bright smile. I am blessed to have had him as a friend. I pray you can find comfort in knowing Darryl will be carried in the hearts of each person he has met. Through his spirit this world is a much better place! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Darryl's passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. He was my BEST friend from the first day we met in kindergarten. We were inseparable back then - the ambulance actually delivered him to my mom's house after he cracked his head from falling off the monkey-bars. I guess people had trouble telling us apart back then? We remained really close friends while growing up in Johnstown. After high school, our lives took different paths with him attending Capital and me enlisting in the military. Even though we lost touch, I still consider him a dear friend and one of the most liked and best all-around guys I've ever known. I'll always remember him as a good student, great athlete, awesome friend, and even better person.

Levert Family,
I am deeply sadden to hear of your loss. Ever since I met Darryl at Capital, I was always impressed with his athletic ability but was even more impressed with his calm demeanor & genuine personality. I have bumped into him many times over the past few years in Pickerington at our kids athletic functions and he always took the time to stop and chat for a while. He was one of the good ones. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire LeVert family.

I have such pleasant memories of both Karen and Darryl from my years of teaching at Johnstown High School. They were, of course, blessed to be in such a solid family. I'm so sorry that Darryl's life was cut short, but I know that it is the quality of life rather than long years that matters. May you be comforted by the many memories he leaves behind.

Mrs. LeVert & Family - my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him as part of the signage for one of our industrial parks in the Rickenbacker area, south of Columbus. Darryl was a consummate professional and had a personality that filled up the entire room. I am truly sad to see such a talented young man leave us so early in life. My deepest hope that you and your family know no such sorry again anytime in the near future. Respectfully, Cigarette Parks, Manager of Development Projects, The Pizzuti Companies

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God , believe also in me" (John 14:1). To Kim, Caris, and Darryl we love you and you are ever in our prayers. Remember these words of the Saviour, in this same chapter, and the 16th verse, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;" Darryl was a good man and a great friend I will greatly miss him.

Kim, Caris, Darryl and the LeVert Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Darryl's passing. Our hearts go out to you and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
I first met Darryl at Capital and like most people, grew to like him instantly. A winning smile, a kind word and too many laughs to count. As we reconnected through youth football, it was like we never left off. I fondly recall the kind words he had for me when my Mom passed away. Darryl will be missed as we were blessed with the time we shared with him on Earth.
I pray that God grant you comfort in your time of mourning. May the warm and lasting memories of Darryl's life remain with you.
With deep sympathy,
Joe, Kelly, Jacob and Kaelyn Koesters

To the Family,
Kim I can still remember you calling me and telling me you had a job interview in Columbus, OH. I can remember taking you to my AT&T basketbell game and introducing you to your future husband. I picked the best piece of fruit the tree had to offer. I am crushed but, I know Darryl is with the Father. I have not met your sons yet, however, I know they are a reflection of you and Darryl. Much LOVE HOMEGIRL and my PRAYERS are with you and your family.

I met Darryl at Capital my freshman year and we bacame fast friends. We lived together for next six years and became brothers. He exuded "cool, wit, and compassion" all at once, like no one I have ever met before or since. He was a superior athlete, a talented artist, and dedicated father. My heart aches, along with his famly and many others that were blessed with his friendship and love. Save me a seat my brother.
