GANTT David Preston Gantt, age 72, born November 18, 1936, died December 11, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio. Veteran U.S. Marine Corps, Recon Force. Retired from Columbus Auto Parts & State of Ohio Department of Corrections at CRC. Member of Columbus Auto Parts UAW CAP Council. Active in Democratic Party. Three-Time Post Commander of VFW. Former Member West Gate Lodge #623 F & AM, Scottish Rite. First born son of Dyer Preston Gantt and Edith Irene Gantt (Jewell), both deceased. Also preceded in death by sister Nene Corvett. Survived by wife, Barbara; brothers, Don (Dee), Danny (Diana); sister, Edie Gantt; numerous nieces, nephews; and loving family members. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital, 452 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, OH, 43210.
