Donald Weiser Obituary

WEISER Donald C. Weiser, age 82, of Canal Winchester, died Friday, March 31, 2006 at Grant Medical Center. Born June 15, 1923 in Columbus to the late A.B. & Hazel (Codner) Weiser, he was a graduate of Canal Winchester High School and attended Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, and was a retired Vice-President at Huntington Bank, after over 40 years of service. He was affiliated for 20 years, and currently served as Secretary/Treasurer for Weiser, Inc. He was a life-long member of Hope United Methodist Church, and member of South Gate-Potter Lodge #782 F. & A.M., American Legion Post #220, and the Canal Winchester Historical Society. He was a former member of the Canal Winchester School Board, and served on the board of Union Grove Cemetery for many years. Survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Maxine; children, Kris (Paul) Roman, Chicago, Kile (Kathy) Weiser, Kevin (Polly) Weiser, all of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Alex (Amy) Roman, Erik (Billie) Roman, Zachery Weiser, Allison Weiser, Stephanie Weiser, Deena (Rob) Blevins, Deidre Weiser; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Dylan, Taylor, Brody, Madison, Kendra, Quinten and Mason; brother, Richard (Jo) Weiser; sister-in-law, Martha Weiser, all of Canal Winchester; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by granddaughter Erin Weiser, brother William Weiser, and sister Anne Tatum. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope United Methodist Church, 83 E. Columbus St., Canal Winchester, with the Rev. Dennis Dinger officiating. Interment Union Grove Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute to the Hope United Methodist Church Choir Fund in Don's memory. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com

We are shocked and saddened at the loss of Don, our dear friend.He will be greatly missed along with that characteristic smile and laugh.
