I just found out today that Dr. Goold was gone. He was a wonderful man and I will always remember and love him. I am so grateful for all he did for me as my doctor for 20 years. He was one of a kind the way he cared so much for his patients. He always helped to find an answer for everything and was so intelligent and kind. I will alway remember and love Madiline Barton too. She worked for Dr. Goold the 20 years I went to him. We became the best of friends and she was wonderful and also one of a kind. May God bless his son in this time of sorrow.

My dear Doctor Goold...how I have missed him since his retirement. He got my life back on track after a serious depression. Dr.Goold was so calming, so genuinely warm. He told me about the Irish custom of putting a candle in the window on Christmas eve, to welcome the Christ child, placed in a turnip that was fashioned into a candleholder. I loved him, loved his Madeline in the office, and Debbie too. I have never found anyone to replace him, anyone who could soothe my hurts and fears. God bless you and keep you with Him. The candle is burning in a special window of Heaven tonight for this fine man, this wonderful doctor. Goodbye good friend...

I met Dr. Goold as he called the Cathedral one day to have his name taken off of the registry as he was moving to First Community Village. He and I began chatting and immediatly had a connection - being Irish! Only he was a "true" Irishman! I then began visiting and found him to be a delightful man, we chatted about Ireland, had a few chuckles and he gave me many tips. My sympathy goes out to you John, his sisters in Ireland and all of his dear friends. "May God hold you in the palm of his hands." and May Edmond rest in peace.
