Edwin Temple Obituary

TEMPLE Edwin E. Temple, age 89, of Pickerington, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at his residence. Born August 20, 1921 in East Fultanham, Ohio to the late John E. and Goldie O. (Williams) Temple, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was retired from DCSC in Columbus. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret C. Temple in 1999, and brother John S. Temple. He is survived by brother, Gregory J. Temple; nieces, cousins and his beloved dog, Susie. Per Ed's request there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. I was so very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I helped him sell a property recently and so enjoyed knowing him and working with him. He was a very considerate person, very kind, and very considerate. I considered him very much a gentleman and a gentle man.

I did not have the pleasure of ever meeting Mr. Temple. My condolences go out to his loved ones. I am forever in his gratitude for his bravery in defending our country against the world during WWII. He will not be forgotten.
