Elizabeth "Betsy" Childers

Childers Elizabeth "Betsy" Childers, age 57, of Canal Winchester, passed away February 6, 2016. She was born on January 25, 1959 to the late Robert C. and Marilyn R. (Long) Loucks Jr. Betsy was a 1977 graduate of Canal Winchester High School. She was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and worked as a registered nurse throughout central Ohio since 1983. Betsy enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Patricia Hanlin. Betsy is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Steve; children, Jeana (Jimmy) Osborn, Harold (Theresa) Childers Jr., Robert Childers, Jessica (Jimmy) Thomas; grandchildren, Christina, Alyssa, Brooklynn, Andrew, Savannah, JT, Jacob; great-grandchild, Rory; siblings, Jennifer Tom, William (Kandy) Loucks, Vicki (Bruce) Bogart; sister-in-law, Connie Beane; mother-in-law, Hazel Childers; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service, officiated by Reverend Casey Wilson, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at Asbury South United Methodist Church, 4760 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.
