I offer sincere sorry for the family and the Colunbus community in the passing of Elson. I am now living in VA, but I feel the loss of a friend and fellow student while we were at The Ohio State University. Talking with him and learning about his professional research, eg. fish eyes, was enlighting as he continued to create great accomplishments with his calm manner and with humility.

Elson,you will be rembered.

Talking with Elson was always thought provoking. As a fraternity brother he embodied the notion of manhood and he was a person of impeccable integrity. His professional and social networks were vast and he influenced so many lives. Our community at large will miss him.

I was saddened to hear the passing of Elson. I thought about him over the holidays but didn't stop long enough to call. I thought I had time but time stops for no one. Don't wait, tell people you love them when you see them. I wish I had. Elson was a good man. My condolences to the family and many friends.

I knew Dr. Craig well from when I worked in the Department of Ophthalmology at OSU. He was a good, kind and caring man, who generously gave of his time. He was so beloved by so many people, and he will be deeply missed. He was, without question, one of THE best teaching physicians in the department and was highly thought of by all of the residents who were fortunate enough to have him as their teacher and mentor. What a terrible loss of all that intelligence and knowledge. My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He was a big man, not just in stature, but in so many other ways that really counted. He will be greatly missed. Sharon Sizemore
