Emilie Burns Obituary

Burns Emilie Jean Burns, age 71, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 28, 1941 to the late Emmett and Mary (Ross) Spangler. She attended West High School and retired from Marsala Inc. after many years of dedicated service. She attended Parkview United Methodist Church for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Jerry Chapman, Carl Chapman, and Carol Sykes. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Steve) Whitt; granddaughters, Alyssa and Caroline Whitt; brothers, Larry (Joan) Spangler and Jack (Sue) Chapman; sister and best friend, Sue Chapman; sister in-law, Dottie Chapman; and many nieces and nephews. Emilie loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook. Friends may call on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating.
