1955 - 2018
Eric Glenn Baumann, age 63, of Grove City, Ohio, formerly of Midland, Michigan, passed away September 23, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Eric retired from John Deere as a training instructor after 37 years of service. He was a member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Pastor Glenn and Helen Baumann, and special father-in-law Harold Roome. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Roome) Baumann; children, Jeanine (Nick) Linkenhoker and Kevin Eric Baumann; sisters, Ruth (Brian Abner) Baumann, Christine (Thomas) Getty and Jane (Jim Harris ) Baumann; mother-in-law, Lola Roome; sisters-in-law, Janet (Don) Jenny and Lori (Michael) Courvoisier; brothers-in-law, Doug (Debbie) Roome and best friend, Larry Roome; 6 nieces and nephews. Friends may gather Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM at Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, 775 Galloway Road, Columbus, Ohio, with Pastor Nathan Custer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eric's name may be made to the Church. Arrangements completed with The Spence-Miller Funeral Home, Grove City, Ohio, where online condolences may be left at www.spencemillerfuneralhome.com

So, sorry for your loss. Eric was a great mentor as I started my career with John Deere. He passed along knowledge and skills that have allowed me to get to where I am today.

Paul and I only met Eric a few times, but as long time friends of his sister Ruth, we know how much he meant to her and his other sisters. We are deeply saddened by his death at far too early an age. Our deepest condolences to all Eric's family.

I send my prayers and thoughts of a life well lived. He was part of the United Church of Christ family in Midland and our family was in the same church for 37 years. He had a great life in Midland and we celebrate that journey. Jim Stout Chicago

I remember Eric as one of the liitle kids some sixty years ago. That was a long, long time ago; not, though, long enough ago for us his family to be ready for him to go now.
