Eugene Jones Obituary

Jones Eugene B. "Gene" Jones, 86, Columbus, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016. Gene was born in Columbus, OH on September 4, 1929, to the late Francis and Genevieve Jones. He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. "Peggy" Jones; son, Timothy E. (Estel Lynn) Jones of Columbus; daughter, Lynn M. (Michael) Myers of Pickerington; granddaughters, Karen (Steven) Linthwaite, Holly Myers and Stephanie Myers; sister-in-law, Helen E. (Boggs) St.Cyr and husband, Jack; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gene was a retired COTA Driver, was a Korean War Veteran, member of the 8th Army Honor Guard and a member of the American Legion. Family and friends will gather on Friday, July 15, 2016, 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, 10 a.m. at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerColumbus.com.
