Eugene G. Long

LONG Eugene G. Long, age 83, of Reynoldsburg, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 in Mt. Carmel East CCU. Preceded in death by daughter Linda Jean Newman and by parents Fred L. Long and Dovie (Dobbins) Long, one brother Lawarence Long, sisters Rose Morris, and Generia Lanier. Survived by wife, Lenelle (Rorie) Long; son-in-law, Wesley Newman; grandson, Michael A. (Sara) Newman; two brothers, Max (Georgia), Dorsie (Vern) Long; one sister, Veneda Smith. Gene was a wonderful husband and father. He was a Drywall Finisher and Truck driver. He volunteered at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church as a driver picking up and delivering adults to day care center and also did the drywall finishing in a number of Habitat for Humanity Homes. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Viewing will be Sunday, June 28, from 4-6 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will be Monday at 10 a.m. Rick Proper, officiating.
