Sorry for your Loss, he was a nice priest to be during my school days at Ohio School for the Deaf on Sundays when we had Mass. Also he came serving as an interpreter to my wedding in 1969 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Attica, Ohio. That church has been changed name to Our Lady of Hope. I have been always wondered about him for years till I looked up in Google. Oh I am sorry to know he is gone in 2017.

Father Fortkamp was my Ethics teacher 1969-70 at Bishop Ready High School. His classes were always interesting and he was a powerful speaker. Once he invited two athesists to speak to our class. Father challenged us to understand and defend our beliefs. I thought he was an exceptional teacher. I will never forget him.

No doubt, my all-time favorite 'teach' at Ready High. My wife had him the following year and said they spent most of her senior year Religion class ('67-68') analyzing the Beatles 'Sgt. Pepper' album. Very cool guy and so sorry to hear of his death.
