His spirit lives on and always will. Times he laughed, gave advice, or just listened echo in the memories of those whose lives he touched. And being so remembered, my father's legacy will live on. I MISS YOU DAD,
Love, Your Daughter Pamela

The Master's Bouquet My heart at frist was broken, At the lost of one so dear; But the tears I shed just washed my eyes, So I saw his way more clear. The Master walked in his garden, plucking flowers along the way; He plucked one of my loved ones To add to his bouquet. My Lord has a need for just this one, For the pattern he has in mind; But it's hard for the rest of us to see why we must be left behind. Perhaps we are not ready to go just yet, We may need to ripen more; To reach the full blown fragrance, My Lord is waiting for me. To each give forth a fragrance to each we chance to meet. We should each be trying day by day, To make our fragrance sweet. So I'm going to try my very best To be loving ad kind each day, So at last I'll be counted worthy, To be part of my Master's Bouquet. There are few great men in my life. But my father in-law was one of them. I learned to love him as if he was my own dad. Dad I know that you are up there looking down,I just want you to know that I will greatly miss you. I LOVE YOU DAD. your daughter in-law Bonnie

I called your name late that night
hoping it wasn't true, That somehow you were still alive and in the dark your voice would break through. I always thought you'd stay awake not close your eyes so soon. But God has a plan for everyone he must've needed you.
We miss you very dearly, we think of you each day. Even after all is said and done there's still so much left unsaid. If there is anything I've learned during this time it would be this, For every maudlin teardrop that swells and soaks the ground, You are looking down from Heaven saying, "Smile for me,don't frown, for I'm in a better place now, happy and free of pain, But if you ever need reassurance, You can just remember this, I wait in Heaven until the day I see you all again." It may hurt us for a while to know you're never coming back, But we will eventually be reunited and regain what we had lacked. For there comes a time in all our lives
when we have sorrow or great pain,
But if we place our trust in God
we will somehow meet again. I will love you always Grandpa!! - Love, Kerrie & Zach(Great-Grandson).

This poem has given me comfort and thought I'd share it:
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
We love you grandpa and you'll always be with us. Love, your granddaughter Kim and your great grandson Ian.

What to say about a man whose presence was so strong in everyone's life that he touched. A man who you never had to question as to where he stood on an issue. A man, who I understand, came to know of the Lord in his later years. A man who made a profound impression on my life. Although I was not able to join everyone in saying "Good-Bye," memories of conversations and experiences with him danced through my head all weekend. There is no doubt he will be missed, his personality and words orchestrated it that way. He showed me kindness, accepted me for myself and I am SO glad that I was able to spend a little time with him not too long ago. God bless the Family, especially Frances, with peace is my prayer. My thoughts are with you all. Love, Cheryl

I am not sure who the author of this is, but a friend gave it to me and I thought it fitting so here it is.
God saw you were getting tierd, and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply, We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands a rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

You will always be in my heart Grandpa and the things you taught me I will carry with me for the rest of my days.Thank you for the memories.Your Day was just the way you would of liked it.I will never forget this day. I was truly honored that I was able to be by your side throughout the day and carry out some of your wishes .I can only hope you were looking down on us to see your family and freinds all gathered to the place you all hoped for us to come together and enjoy someday .Well, on this very day I can actually say you made it happen. On that note, I left Kentucky with a smile on my face like I did when I was a little boy out on a weekend adventure with Grandpa & Grandma. I love you and miss you....Love, Your Grandson David, Talia and Great Grand daughter Trinity.
