Franklin Wade Obituary

Wade Franklin A. Wade Sr., 79, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2015 at home with family. Frank was born on August 26, 1936 to Oliver and Gwenethel Wade. He retired from Ohio Malleable and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Frank spent 8 years enjoying his time at the Golden Hobby Shop where he made many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosa Lee Wade, sons Leonard (Tony) Moore and David Shawn Wade, his parents, brothers Ronald, Wesley, and Herman Wade. He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Carla Y. Moore-Toney, Jacqueline K. Moore-Davis, Lewis A. Wade, Franklin A. Wade Jr., and Kevin (Stephanie) Wade, all of Columbus, OH; siblings, Morris Wade of California, Gwenethel White, and Wayman (Brenda) Wade of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Andrea (Desmond) Toney, David (Stephanie) Toney, Jordan (Jamie) Dunn, Sade (Courtney) Mayberry, Leaunca Moore, Toni Moore, Taylor Moore, Ashlee Holliman, Dominic Holliman-Wade, James Polley, Devon Wade, Demetrius Wade, Kevin Wade, and Kourtney Wade; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Mount Carmel Home Hospice and Columbus VA Home Base Primary Care. Funeral 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the chapel of C. D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave., where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Franklin will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
