Gary Reed Compton

Compton Gary Reed Compton, Calabash, N. C., formerly of Columbus, Ohio, Gary died March 10, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Born August 11, 1944 and preceded in death by his parents Ernest F. Compton and Dorothy Compton Decker. Survived by his wife and love of his life, Sandra Staats Compton of Calabash; sister, B.J. (Carl) Fulton of Huntsville, Ohio; children, Christy (Dave) Mayo of Columbia, S.C., Cory (Ashley) Compton of Thomasville, N.C., Michael (Libby) Compton of Thurston, Ohio, A.J. Compton and Felicia Millagan of Ocean Isle, N.C., and Courtney Compton of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren and numerous cousins, and friends. Graduate of Eastmoor HS, Class of '62, and attended The Ohio State Universtiy, 1962-63. He was self employed.
