I served with Sgt. La Gore in Vietnam. He was our Motor Pool Sargent. To get out of working I "Volunteered" to drive 3/4 and 2-1/2 Ton Trucks on convoy, (was not a truck driver and really didn't know what I was doing). Sgt. La Gore showed me the ropes, how to work on split rim tires and how to patch truck tubes. Have only warm memories.
