Gary and I grew up together. He was my brother 16 months younger than me. We played together building sandcastles on Florida beaches in the early morning hours when we were 3 or 4 years old. I admired him and trusted him. He was a leader and very strong and kind. We danced to our favorite song on our first record player in the back kitchen of our house in downtown Red Boiling Springs Tennessee. It was our grandparents house. We had a dog named Tip that loved us and protected us. We loved Tip. We loved being small and playing in our yard with with the neighboring children in Red Boiling Springs. I miss him so.

I will miss you, Brother. You were the perfect brother and you helped me throughout the storm of breast cancer, showing concern and support for me all the way. You were at every surgery. I will always think of you as the fair-haired little boy in Buster Brown shirts. I admired you for being a person of your convictions who not only talked the talk, you walked the walk. And you exemplified Christian life and values. I love you. We shall meet again.
