Geraldine Alexander Obituary

Alexander Geraldine J. Alexander, age 86 of Worthington, Ohio passed away at home on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 28, 1929. After graduating Valedictorian she married her high school sweetheart Donald W. Alexander on August of 1947. Geraldine worked as a school secretary for the Worthington School District for 26 years and touched the lives of so many children. She was every child's "Grandma". Her passion was gardening and her yard reflected her nurturing spirit. Aside from her family, gardening was her greatest joy. Her "best" days were spent tending to her flowers and digging in the dirt. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Donald W. Alexander; her seven children, Mark (Diane) Alexander, Kay (Robert) Crawford, Dee (Pete) McCune, David (Debbie) Alexander, Jeff (Stacy) Alexander, Lyn (Mike) Distel and Lori Alexander Clagg; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous friends and her cat name "Boo". Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio where friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, P.O. Box 600001, Columbus, OH 43272-9802.
