I met Greg about 18 years ago as a customer of Data General. He was the most ethical, enthusiastic and wonderful person to be associated with. No one else since then has come close to meeting his level of customer passion and career professionalism. Despite new jobs for both of us, we kept in touch over the years he always made it seem like we had never parted company.

Derek and Ashley, your Dad was SOOOO proud of you. Whenever we spoke, he always would share stories of your successes and his love for each of you. I hope you know how much he loved you both.

My sincerest condolences to the family for your loss. Greg’s untimely departure is a huge loss to the family, friends and the community…he will be missed.

To Deborah and family, my deepest sympathies. I just learned about this tragedy and I am at a loss for words. I can’t say enough about Greg. He was one of the finest persons I have ever met, always caring, always smiling; a true friend. He truly loved his family and talked about them every time we met. I will miss him. I worked with Greg for many years as one of his clients while he was with Data General and I kept in touch with him after he went to Sun Microsystems.

Greg,

You left me a phone message the day your life was taken away. The next morning I was told by a colleague that you passed away. Unbelievable, unimaginable, mind-blowing, out of the question, Greg, what? Why you, why so sudden, why? I am still struggling for words. I feel terrible; I did not even have a chance to return your call…….I know that you are at a better place now. I miss you.

Deborah and Family,

I was at Greg’s funeral service last night and I felt that the community had so much affection, tenderness and passion for him. Greg had such a positive impact on so many peoples lives and beyond doubt he truthfully was a blessed man. I am so sorry, so very sorry for your loss.

With Sincerest regret,

Greg was our account manager for Siemens. He was pivotal in maintaining the excellent relationship between Sun and Siemens. In all my years of experience in working with partners, I have never met anyone as dedicated at Greg. He was truly a star.

Debra, I am so sorry for your loss. Greg was one of my best friends. He always wanted to come to Tennessee to rude horses with me. We had a great trip to Rome with him and his mother when we were at DG. I have a lot of good memories with him. We talked at least 4 times a year. He was always checking on me and how I was doing. Love Rudy

Deborah and family -
I'm so sorry I could not attend Greg's memorial in person and share with you my thoughts about your wonderful caring husbad and father. I worked with Greg at Sun for past 7 years--he was one of the first people I met in the office and took time out of his very busy day to spend several hours with me making sure I understand "the ropes of the game"- you could always count on a smile, nice chat and good feeling when running into him in the hallway, or sharing business strategies. He will definately be missed by all that ever had the good fortune of meeting him - if only for a few minutes, because that was all it took to feel the strength of a honest, sincere and humble man.
God speed and help you all find strength and recovery in your loss.

To the Neff Family:

My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss. As I read the entries, I can see that Greg touched many lives with his every day actions. What a tremendous gift he gave and legacy he leaves!

Like many, I had the pleasure of working with Greg while at Sun. He truly was how others have described him...positive, upbeat, professional, and above all kind.

There is little I can say to take away your grief, but please take comfort in the knowledge that Greg had an impact on those who knew him and will be missed deeply and remembered fondly.

In sympathy,

My Dearest Friend and family,
On behalf of all the children at the Power Station here at TCI West, our love and prayers are with you during this time. As one of the children wrote in a card to you; Roses are Red, Violets are blue, we will miss Mr. Greg almost as much as you.
Greg was a pure joy to work with and a strength for our team here at church to raise up Godly children in the love and truth of the Lord. He will be missed more than words can express and tears can cover.
With all our love,
Pastor Cathy and the Power Station.

Dear Deborah and family,

I worked with Greg for around 12 years both in Lake Mary and Boca Raton. During that time, I never heard him utter a negative comment (and I probably gave him ample cause to from time to time). He was an absolute joy to work with and I always thought of him as a friend. It's hard to imagine not seeing his smiling friendly face except in memories. That is probably how I will always remember him. I'm positive that he is in heaven and will be watching down over the family - especially during the tough times. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. My prayers go out to his family.

Deborah,
How I wish I had the right words for you, but all I can say is I sure did love this wonderful person and will miss him tremedously. He has left me with a lot of memories from our days together at DG to his arrival at Sun. A finer person to work with cannot be found. I remember the trip to Rome when Greg brought his mother and all the fun and teasing we had. I remember running into Greg and you at the Tech/UGA that year. What a treat it was to see the two of you. Yes, I have my memories and I am sure you have yours. All my love along with my prayers are for you and the kids.
God Bless and Take Care of You.

I worked with Greg svereal years while I was at Sun Microsystems. The news of his passing was a shock and unsettling because it reminded me that our time in this world is finite and should never be taken for granted. My heart goes out to the entire Neff family. Greg is one of those people that was genuinely pleasant and upbeat. No one ever had anything but nice things to say about Greg. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear
Deborah and family,
Words cannot express the grief and sympathy that we share in your loss.
I had the privledge of knowing Greg for almost 20 years. He taught me
much as a colleague and a friend with his graciousness and calm
demeanor. I will never forget Greg's compassion, warm personality and
genuine concern for those he met. Above all, he always put his love for
his family first. Although he has left an unfillable void in the lives
of those he touched, the good Lord has welcomed him to a very special
place in the Kingdom of Heaven. May God help you cope, and may our
thoughts and prayers somehow ease your pain and suffering.
God Bless.

Dearest Deborah and family
It is with regret and great sadness that we cannot attend the funeral due to circumstances out of our control at this point.
Greg has been such an incredible person and I am honored that I had the opportunity to work with him for the last 15 months. He was in his own way my best mentor and partner and I cannot show more appreciation for what I learned from him in the business world and from both of you as friends.

Greg will be dearly missed by me and always fondly remembered by his extreme kindness, integrity and honesty.

Our prayers and thoughts will be with you in spirit.

Kind regards and much love

My deepest condolences to Deborah and all of Greg's loved ones, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Like so many others, I am very proud to have known and worked with Greg. As a business person Greg was a consummate high-integrity professional and a role model for anyone in sales and customer service. Greg always greeted us with an infectious smile, an enthusiastic handshake and a positive "can do" attitude. No matter what sort of challenges he might be facing, he always saw the plus side. I used to like asking Greg about his latest meeting, because no matter how tough the customer or situation, he never had a bad meeting. It was always "a really great meeting". As a person, Greg will always stand out in my mind as one of the most caring, considerate and pleasant people one could ever hope to meet. We occasionally talked about family
and Greg clearly loved and treasured his family. I'm proud to count Greg Neff as a friend. I know he's in a great and loving place now.

Greg, we will miss you buddy, and always remember you with a smile.

I am stunned to see that Greg has passed away. I worked with him in the past at Gee & Jenson, Engineers-Architects-Planners, Inc. where I found out about his love for soft-ball. I recently spoke to he and his wife trying to help them with some County permit issues. He was a great person and will be missed.

As I read through the entries in this guestbook, it is evident to see how much God has used Greg to touch so many lives. As I look through the pictures of Greg and Deborah from my sister's wedding, I am ever so grateful that my family was able to visit with him. I keep thinking back on the first Thanksgiving that Greg and Deborah spent at my parents house. It was so much fun, and it was so great to get to know both of them. Greg had such a genuwine spirit and love that surrounded him, you couldnt help but to fall in love with him! Our hearts are very heavy right now, and there are no words that could relieve the sorrow, but there is the love of Greg, and the love for Greg, that will keep us strong. By God's grace, we were able to have Greg as a part of our lives, and I will forever be grateful for that.
Much love to my family and to all of the friends and coworkers that Greg has touched. My prayers go out to you, may God embrace each of you with comfort and peace.

To the Neff Family,

I never had the privilege of meeting Greg in person but in talking to him via phone, could tell the amazing person that he was.

He epitomized the true Southern Gentleman, and it was always
a pleasure to speak to him.

It took my breath away when I received the note saying that he
had passed.

Some times people touch your lives that you work with and he
was one of those people.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Neff Family,

I also knew Greg from working at Sun Microsystems. It's funny how many people knew of Greg either as a customer or associate of his. I think that this may be because of the way Greg conducted himself as a sales professional. Greg was the finest caliber of a man. He always strived to do not only what was good for himself and Sun, but also what he felt really would help his customers. Greg was also able to take relationships to a deeper level than most. He was always asking about not just myself, but my family. You can tell that he valued the love of his own family greatly. I think this may even have been the root of Greg incredible smile. He was a man who was happy with himself, and could therefore share a true smile.

Greg,

You will be truly missed. But I know you are in the presence of our Lord. Rest in peace dear friend.

I worked closely with Greg for the last 8+ years. Greg was an Account Rep for Sun Microsystems, with a focus on Siemens, the company I work for. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
