Gretchen Marie Gebhart

GEBHART Gretchen Marie Gebhart, 49, died unexpectedly on October 11, 2012. Her sudden passing leaves her friends and family without one of the kindest souls they ever knew. She attended Columbus State University where she was pursuing her degree in landscape design, enhancing her lifelong love of gardening. She worked for many years at First Community Village where she was devoted to the residents that she served as Activities Coordinator. In recent years she independently provided home health care. She was an avid Buckeye fan and was thrilled to be in attendance to the recent Nebraska game. Her passion also extended to the love of animals, especially her beloved Weimaraner, Chloe. She is survived by her daughter, Laurel Moxley; her parents, Dr. James Gebhart and Karen Gebhart; her brother, Jeffrey Gebhart of Illinois; and by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Ohio, Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Texas, and Colorado. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, October 17, from 5-7 p.m. at SHAW DAVIS CLINTONVILLE CHAPEL, 4341 N. High Street, Columbus. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., the Rev. Jack Witherspoon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society in Gretchen's memory.
