Harry Lane Obituary

Lane Harry M. Lane, 91, of Dublin, Ohio, former resident of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at The Grand in Dublin. He was a World War II US Army veteran serving in the Battle of the Bulge in the anti-aircraft artillery gun crew and a retired construction insulation salesman. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 32nd Degree Mason and Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. Harry is survived by his sons, N. Craig Lane of Medina, Ohio, R. Stacy (Cathy) Lane of Dublin, Ohio and W. Stanford (Zoe) Lane of Mission Viejo, California; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Lane and George Mills, Brian Lane, Rachel (Charlie) Hoertz, Aaron (Carissa) Lane, Rebecca Lane, Annie (John) Inkrott, Emily Lane, Madison Lane, Aidan Lane, and Abby Lane; four great-grandchildren, Bella and Maddie Hoertz, Rae and Harry Lane; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen Frances Wilcoxon Lane, parents Harry Edward and Ethel Stout, daughter-in-law Pamela S. Lane, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military services at the cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and half hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorial gifts may be given to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 1920 W.
