Inez Jones Gibson

GIBSON Inez Jones Gibson, 82, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010. A native of Akron, OH born to the late Lorenzo and Victoria Jones. Inez moved to Columbus in 2002 to be near her sister, Loretta Heard. Member of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, Amos Gibson. Although Inez and Amos had no children together they were devoted to their many nieces and nephews. Dedicated employee as a receptionistfor Dr. Bozeman, a librarian at Akron University Library, an agent at the Akron Office, of the Social Security Office and as a caregiver at the Veteran's Hospital in Brecksville, Ohio. Inez had a sharp wit and a good sense of humor that was often enjoyed by her many family members and friends. Predeceased by brother Forrest Jones, sisters Martha Jones Turner and Loretta Jones Heard and dear nephew Neal Douglas Turner. Survived by brother-in-law, Hubert Heard; nieces, Lindell Heard and Tracy Maxwell Heard; nephews, Howard and Robert Heard; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends for calling hours only on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 7-9 p.m. at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, 1650 Wilson Avenue.
