Jack L. Roark

Roark Jack L. Roark, age 85, of Columbus, Ohio, died peacefully at Kobacker House with his nieces by his side, Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He is survived by his twin sister, Jacqueline Roark; nieces and nephews, Janice Snyder, Kathy (Ralph) Tryon, Twinkle (Roby) Schottke of Grove City and Tom (Vicky) Roark of Florence, KY; great-nephew and special caregiver, Gavin French, Kayle French; and many other great and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Lon and Lessie Roark, brothers and sister Ray (Juanita), Elmer, Bill (Ann), Lon Jr. (Pearlene) and Bert Roark. Jack served in the U.S. Army Engineers in the Korean War. He was a Manager and Postmaster of Tamcliffe Store in WV, the owner of Phillips 66 Gas Station and a member of American Legion Post #532, VFW and Moose Lodge #11. Jack loved to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds! Family will receive friends 3-6 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Service with military honors will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St., Galloway, OH 43119. Chaplain Loretta Shaffer, officiating.
