James Wilder Obituary

WILDER James Lee Wilder, age 71, devoted and fiercely loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, departed this earth on the morning of July 4, 2011. Jim was an Amy Veteran, Ohio State University Graduate, received his doctorate from The Ohio State University, retired college professor at Wilberforce University and Antioch College and retired State of Ohio MRDD Grants Administrator. He was preceded in death by his parents parents, Levi Wilder and Edna Perkins Wilder. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Suellen Johnson Wilder; son, Jason Jeffrey Wilder of Columbus; step-son, John Charles Cloyd (Melanie) of Mullica Hill, NJ; step-daughter, Jennifer Konomos (William) of Knoxville, TN; and grandchildren, Lily and Thea Cloyd and Amelia and Andrew Konomos. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 at 2 p.m., in the CARDARAS FUNERAL HOME, 183 E. Second St., Logan, Ohio. Family will be present one hour prior to the service. A celebration of the life of this uniquely engaging, kind, humorous soul will take place at the family residence following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of Jim. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
