Jay Witcher Obituary

WITCHER Jay L. Witcher, fondly known as "Buddy", age 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 29, 2012. Retired from DCSC after 34 years of service. He was an accomplished musician, a workaholic, but most of all a gentle and loving family man. Preceded in death by wives Lilly May and Evelyn, brother Robert Jr., and grandchildren Michael Jr. and Francine. Survived by sons, Michael (Victoria) and Johnny; sisters, Arbadella Miller, and Harriett Blakey; grandchildren, Maya Lawrence, Quentin Witcher, and Nathan Anderson; best friend and care-giver, Cheryl Towns; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral service 11 a.m Friday at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
