Sue and I send our sincere condolences to the family, and hold them dear to our hearts in prayer for Jerry. I only found out today (March 17), finding the obituary while doing some family research. I am Jerry's cousin, the son of Jerry's father's youngest brother, William (Bill) Linkhorn. I remember as a kid, watching Jerry play football at Otterbein College and baseball in a game at Ashland College (we lived in Mansfield at the time). Jerry called me several years ago to discuss our Linkhorn "connection" to Abe Lincoln...it was the the last time we spoke! May Jerry be at peace!

Our thoughts, prayers and love go to the Linkhorn family. Our family is blessed with many fond memories of Jerry. He was a devoted supporter of youth sports with his grandchildren and made our children feel just as special. We shared many laughs which may have included critiquing officials. Jerry's delicious cookies made appearance's at all major social gatherings ! Friend, mentor and genuinely nice guy ......

Laurie, Neal, & Jerry,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad! I met him a long time ago when he worked at Allen's. We became good friends and he loved my son Bryan, who passed away 7 years ago.
Laurie, I really enjoyed the cookies the two of you made. I haven't seen him in a few years since I retired.
God Bless you and your families.
Love and prayers to all of you!

Jerry was a very big part of our lives during the "soccer years" with Neal. We have so many fun memories of him. He will be missed!

Our family circle has lost another treasure, but the heavenly Linkhorn reunion is eternally blessed with Jerry's arrival there. Children in his family, community teams and the OSU Buckeyes have lost a most loyal fan. His generous and encouraging spirit made him a perfect Santa to people of all ages, in and out of the traditional suit.
