Jo McCreary Obituary

McCreary Jo (Evelyn Hatfield) McCreary, age 76, of Pickerington, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born January 13, 1939 in Columbus to the late Earl and Betty (Simms) Hatfield, she was the former owner and operator of Jody's Pizza in Groveport. Her passions were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she loved to travel, and enjoyed cake decorating and ceramics. Survived by her children, Debbie Cassel, Eve Hampton, Becky (John) Smith, Beatrice "BJ" (John) MacDougall, Jody Taylor, Kim (John) Herold, Forrest Cassel, and Laura (David) Jackson; 34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Louise) Hatfield; sister, Sheryl Morgan; lifelong friend, Jerry Reagan; cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by children Donald E. Cassel and Charles G. Lawhead, and sister Crystal Harris. Friends may visit 4-9 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial immediately following at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville.
