Joan M. Kidwell

Kidwell Joan M. Kidwell, age 64, of Centerburg, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday evening, September 8, 2013 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born on May 24, 1949 in Saginaw, Mi. to the late Joseph and Mildred (LaGrow) Brutkiewicz. She was a graduate of Mifflin High School, Class of 1967. A homemaker and Avon representative living in Centerburg for the last 29 years. She was a member of the Centerburg Christian Church and was active in the church and with the activities at the church, including the children's activities, knitting scarves for the troops and afghans for infants. Joan was a devoted Christian devoting time and energy to the church. Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach. Joan liked to show dogs, bicycling and all kinds of crafts. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles Kidwell and they were married June 9, 1984 in Sunbury; daughters, Lisa (David) Alexander of Mount Vernon, Jennifer (Richard) Forzano of Haymarket, Va., Katie (Garry) Pryor of Marion; grandchildren, William Geddes, Cole Alexander, Gina Forzano; brother, Tom (Lisa) Brutkiewicz of Titusville, Fl. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury. Funeral service will be held at the Centerburg Christian Church, 33 Church Street, Centerburg, Thursday 11 a.m. with Pastors Jeff Perry and Elmer Ball. Interment will follow in the Trenton Cemetery.
