TUTTLE Joan Theresa Tuttle (Ryan), 84, born January 16, 1927 passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, February 16, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents Mathew and Loretta (King) Ryan, by Jack her loving husband and dance partner of 60 years, by her brothers Bob, Bill, Don, Richard, sisters Kay and Margie, several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her beloved brother, Kenny; many nieces; nephews; and lastly her eight children, Rick, Doug (Nancy), Joanie (Bill), Gerry (Laurie), Pat, Mary (Dave), Mike (Tami), Tom (Sheila). Joan had a great love of family. She felt very blessed to be the matriarch of 47 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren, showing love and concern for each and every one of them. They will all remember her "Grandma laugh", song and dance sessions, funny stories, diet coke and her joy. A devout Catholic, Joan had a great love for Our Lady, traveling to Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe Knock and the many Marian shrines of Ohio, and inspired many by her faith. She was an advocate for pro-life attending many marches, rallies and rosaries. She enjoyed any function that celebrated her Irish heritage. She truly cherished her many wonderful friends and neighbors. Throughout her life, Joan was an unselfish caregiver to family, and will be remembered by all as having a joyous, loving and generous spirit. The family would like to thank the seventh floor nurses and hospice for their tender care. Friends may call Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad Street. I was sorry to learn of Mrs. Tuttle's passing. It was always a pleasure to take her Communion during her rehabilitation after her surgery and once she returned home. She always spoke highly of her late husband, her sons, and her grandchildren. May our Lord grant her eternal rest.

Dear Tuttle Family, I am keeping you all in our prayers. I know it is a hard to lose your mother but we know that she is Heaven because she was an angel. I remember when my mother left this world and I know her sister (Aunt Joanne)was her best friend. I just experienced the same departure with my sister. I love you all and will be there in spirit as I cannot be their in person. May Our Heavenly Father wrap you in his arms of love and comfort. Your cousin Shirley Collura and family.
