John Ball Obituary

BALL John H. Ball, 81, of Galloway, passed away July 13, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Myrtle Ball and brothers Alan, Glenn and Eugene Ball. John is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary; children, John H. (Kathleen) Ball Jr., Judith A. (Floyd) Fischer, Ron (Laura) Ball, Robert (Norma) Ball; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and brothers, William (Betty) Ball and James Ball. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. He worked for plant security at General Motors and retired after 30 years. John enjoyed gardening and horse racing at Beulah Park. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, SOUTHWEST CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the funeral home. Rev. Ed Linville will be officiating with interment at Galloway Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Township or Pleasant Township Fire Departments in memory of John. I only knew John a short time; I drew his blood at Labcorp. He was so sweet and nice, whenever he came in. He will be missed! My prayers go out to his family and friends.
