John Flint Obituary

FLINT John H. Flint, age 68, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 after a brief illness. Formerly a partner and actuary at Meeks & Company employee benefits firm, Mr. Flint was the President of Information Services Group, Inc. He was also the CEO of IS Film Group and co-produced the film, "The New, True, Charlie Wu" and was executive producer of the upcoming, "Miracles on Honey Bee Hill." He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, attended John Carroll University, and earned an MBA from The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert John Flint and Ursula Bracken Flint as well as his sister Martha Flint. He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Dr. Terry Ransom-Flint and his beloved children, Lisa (Bill) Gulker, Jennifer Flint (David Stroyls), Jeffrey (Cristina) Flint, Christopher (Kathy) Flint, and Jonathan Ransom-Flint (Kara Rising); nine grandchildren Matthew Gulker, David Gulker, Sarah Grace Gulker, Jackson Flint-Gonzales, Isabella Flint-Gonzales, Maddie Stroyls, Ben Flint, Britney Flint, Jacob Flint, and Olivia Grace Flint; much loved sister-in-law, Marianne Ransom (Mike Stamper); dear friend and brother-in-law, Richard (Mary) Ransom; special friend, Marsha Kent; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mr. Flint was a generous, kind, funny man who loved his family (including their puppies) and many wonderful friends. He was a businessman with great integrity who strived to provide his clients with excellent service and care. He also was a patriot who was passionate about his country and preserving individual liberties. He enjoyed OSU football, fly fishing, travel, genealogy, music (especially Motown music and his lifetime dream to learn backup choreography), and fine wine and cuisine, but most of all he relished "family fun night" at home watching DVDs (particularly the Pink Panther films or The Three Stooges). A trusted friend and advisor to many, he will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012. Dear Terry ,Jonathan ,Jennifer and family.
Nicole just gave us the news,we are so sorry for your loss.
John was a Great Bloke and it was always a pleasure to spend time in the kitchen with him ,whilst cutting the family's hair ! He had a Brilliant dry sense of humour which was never lost on us. Some of the nights at the Refectory in His company are always remembered as the loveliest and we shall raise a glass or two to him and you all this week.
(John thanks for your advice on the New England move :)
Lots and Lots of Love to you all, we are thinking of You.
