My papaw meant everything to me. I couldnt ever thank him enough for every single thing he did for me and loving me so unconditionally. You were the true definition of what a father should be like. Thank you for being my dad when you didnt have to be. My heart is just broken. Him and I spoke daily and I miss those conversations more then ever but I am so thankful that I know deep down in my heart he knew how much he meant to me. We never didnt tell each other how much we loved each other. My papaw was a wonderful man, a strong man even at his age, and so beyond smart, he could answer a math question in like 2 seconds, he was the best card player too, he knew no stranger and had a way to make you feel so special in a room full of people.I swear he knew how to fix anything and everything. He was so proud of our family and was so proud of all the accomplishments in his life. He loved to tell stories about his childhood and about how he met my grandma and he absolutely love to brag about all of his grandkids and just couldnt wait for the boys to get big and play some football. I will forever be thankful for this man. He was one of a kind and Im so lucky to be youre granddaughter. Papaw you use to always say you know Papaw loves you while hugging me and thats something Ill forever cherish in my mind. I just miss you so much. I know you were always worried that this day would happen and what would happen to grandma and I promise to always take care of her and continue our FaceTime calls, because I know you would want that. This morning I got 2 strawberries off my plant that you taught me how to plant, I know you would have been so excited to see them. Im sorry youre not here. But I promise you will never be forgotten. I love you Papaw more then anything.

I agree about his laugh. What I remember most. He always had something funny to say. He was a talker. What an uplifting guy.
Hugs and prayers for his family who I know will never be able to fill that void.

That laugh!! Ill never forget that laugh. I always loved being around him and his amazing energy. He just made you feel better when he was around, and sometimes when he wasnt.
