Huber Family,

I only met John once at Dave's house, but my impression was that he was a good man, and a good father. This was proven further by the young man that David was being raised to be by both John and Carol. I'm sorry for your loss. We will pray for you guys, and John. We love both of you, and if you need anything let us know.

Carol, I was shocked to read of John's death in the Columbus Dispatch. I first met John when he was in town caring for his dad during Sam's battle with lung cancer although Sam had talked about him many times when we got together here and in Venice. My heart aches for you, David, Jim and all of your family. I called Jane a few minutes ago to confirm this sad and heartbreaking news. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, as are those of my mother, Ila Doudna. With sympathy, Diann Doudna Bowman

Carol, Arturo and I just learned of John's passing this afternoon. We are so very sorry for your loss. It had been way too long since we had seen and/or spoken with you guys. We have many, many wonderful memories of the "HUBERS"; especially John. He was a wonderful person to be around, so positive, funny, handsome, giving, loving...oh gosh; I could go on and on. My family will be praying for you and yours. May god bless you and hold you close during this tough time and may the wonderful memories you shared together bring you comfort and peace.
