John Lambert Obituary

LAMBERT John W. Lambert, born July 4, 1926, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Christina Lambert and brother Donald. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Elizabeth; sons, Larry (Pat) Strouse, Robert Strouse, Paul (Clarice) Hewitt, Joe (Joyce) Hewitt, Dennis (Delores) Lambert; daughters, Ellen (Ron) James, Judy (Dave) Pratt, Kathy Salyers, Rita Hewitt and Sherry; sisters, Joanne Welker and Mary Alice Weaver; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and many, many friends. John served in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a long time employee of the Federal Glass Company. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #144 where he served as a color guard for many years. He was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #11 and the Knights of St. John's. He was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church for many years. Visitation will be at the O.R. WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 1346 S. High St., Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Rev. Mark Cherry officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude to special friend Peter Bewie for all that he has done and Senior Independence/Hospice for their help and support. The family requests donations be made in John's memory to Senior Independence, 5796 Karl Road, Suite B, Columbus, OH, 43229.
