I knew Joyce for many years, a neighbor across the street. She was always joyous with a wonderful outlook for life. I often tell the story of her learning to drive. My brother Bill did a lot of the instruction. One time Joyce was driving across a narrow bridge, and on the other side asked Bill what he would do crossing the bridge. Bill answered, just drive. Joyce responded, ‘I close my eyes! (Paul Hasen, Lisbon,Portugal)

I lived across the street from Joyce for 15 years and she was a big sister for me. I enjoyed the notes a Christmass from her about her family, her love of live and dancing. She will be missed by all.
