My heart is heavy with the loss of my dearest friend of 54 years. Daily prayers are said for Scott, Laura, and their families, as well as for Art Turner. Without his assistance, I would not have been able to visit Judy every Friday for the past two years. She was truly "loved" by the patients and staff at Columbus Alzheimer's Center. Laura and Scott made her final farewell memorable. Hugs to you both. Sleep well Dear Judy!

I was so fortunate to know Judy. I have worked in activities for Judy's entire stay at Columbus Alzheimer Care Center. She talked about helping her dad at the Jai Lai and Isaly's restaurants. We shared the love of Jai Lai"s blue cheese dressing and the flavors of ice cream at Isaly's. She remembered my favorite, butterscotch ripple with glee. Judy was focused on making others feel better. At resident council meetings she urged all to get out of your comfortable clicks and connect with everyone. She had the patience of "Job" Judy made lots of friends[ both staff and residents] at Columbus Alzheimer care center. She had a very good fellow resident friend who would get upset and want to see Judy [meaning her daughter.] I took her to her friend, Judy Dempsey who would calm her down and bring the friend back laughing and joyful. The salaried staff who could leave all went to say their goodbyes the last day of her life. My coworker who works on weekends only was so saddened to hear of Judy's passing. She just kept saying "Judy is my friend" I would also like to add that Judy was very proud of the fact that she could identify all the old celebrities in a trivia game that we played. She also asked me reprint any articles that she thought would interest her history teacher brother. Judy also had an entourage of residents follow her everywhere because she was a true STAR!
