Julia Alban Obituary

ALBAN Julia Marie (Gleich) Alban, age 85, passed away at her residence Friday, July 27, 2012 Ormond Beach, FL after a nine year battle with Parkinson's disease. Born, August 6,1926 Columbus, Ohio the fourth of six children and a graduate of St. Mary's High School. Married David E. Alban 1945 and was a devoted loving wife and stay at home mother. Moved from Columbus to Ormond Beach, FL in 1982. Enjoyed crafts, sewing, and bingo. Survived by husband, David of 67 years; children and spouses, David (Pat) Alban of Fleming Island, FL, Linda (Rick) Whited of Round-O, SC, Thomas Alban of Columbus, OH, Janet (Paul) Taylor of Charlotte, NC, Kathryn (Aaron) Royster of Columbus, OH, Nancy (Steve) Greene of Cumming, GA, Molly (David) Wiegand of Ormond Beach, FL; sister-in-law, June Gleich of Lexington, SC; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; former in-laws, Frances (Willard) Yow, Janis (Bowie) Alban, Gary McKelvey, Mike Millard, Barry Silver. Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. and Friday 1 hour prior to service, EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where funeral service will be held Friday 12Noon. Pastor Tim Iseringhausen officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bexley Conservation Club in memory of her grandson Robert A.
