Linda and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. That's what we called him in the neighborhood. I grew up with Kenny, I lived on Steffan Ct.
Kenny played baseball with us in the court and was much better than I. He hung around with the guys and was involved in every sport at WHS. My son Eric Case has a friend with SB and I just figured out that's what Kenny had a couple of years ago. It didn't matter to the neighbor kids because Kenny was one of us. He was always friendly and very determined. I remember some of the surgeries he and the casts.
Although, one day Kenny with the help of other boys put my bike in a big mud hole in his back yard. Just one of the boys!
I ran into Kenny on OSU campus and told me if I ever needed any help with my son to call.
I am so glad to hear he was a Christian and has a new home and new body. What a wonderful place to be, in heaven with the Lord.
May God be rock during this time and always.

My deepest sympathies to the Campbell family. I only knew Ken for a short while, but in that time I was able to learn what a kind and determined man he was.
I am so proud to have played in the ForeHope special adaptive golf tournament with Ken and his father and only now realize what pain he played with such a short time ago. His bravery is an inspiration.
May God bless him with an eternity of joy and a new body with which he will never know pain again.

Ken was a great mentor for our son who has cerebral palsy. I believe that Ken's determination in life played a role in our son having much of the same determination and going on to be accepted into Duke University. Kenny never let anything stand in his way and neither does our son.
I will truly miss Ken at the Otterbein basketball games. The Capital vs. Otterbein basketball game will not be the same without Kenny giving the referee his own opinion, usually loudly, of what the call should have been. He will truly be missed.
It was a privilege to know such a great man.

To the family of Ken Campbell:
My deepest sympathy for your loss. Ken’s compassion, intelligence and quick wit will be missed! I first met him many years ago when the staff of the City of Columbus, Purchasing Office was privileged to have Ken serve as mentor to a young man on our team who was severely disabled. Ken’s wise counsel to our employee about alternative methods to accomplish his assignments, delivered with his usual “you can do this” attitude, was very effective in assisting our staff member to succeed in his job. Ken also educated us about the huge obstacles many people with disabilities face both on and off the job site. He taught us how we could be advocates, each in our own way, not only for our coworker but for all disabled individuals in our community. Since that time, I had the honor of working with Ken on various projects involving ADA and Quality of Working Life issues. He was always a well-informed, articulate committee participant who provided thoughtful and achievable recommendations to solve problems. He did so with dignity, with respect for others, and with the best overall solution for the benefit of all as his only motivation. Ken embraced every hurdle he faced with enthusiasm for a positive outcome and with as much laughter as possible. May you find some small comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated by those he worked with and served.

I'll miss Ken's presence at worship. If it was at all possible, he was consistently at worship services. He wouldn't complain about his lot in life, but always served as a great example to others; he was matter-of-fact about the trials he faced, knowing his true strength lay in God. He taught stimulating Bible classes, served during the worship services and his smile will long be remembered.
I'm glad Ken has moved on to a better life, but we miss him.

Dear Campbell Family, What an amazing gift God gave us with Ken. I served on The Mayor's Advisory Committee on Disability Issues for twelve years with Ken. His passion seemed endless as he taught, mentored and gave us all reasons to continue his work. An inspiring human being and friend to many. He was loved and will be missed. When a loved one becomes a memory, a memory becomes a treasure. May God comfort you during the road ahead. The World was left a better place because of Ken.

Dear Campbell Family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your great loss. Ken and I both served as Executive Directors of State Councils on Developmental Disabilities in the 1980s and did "executive exchanges" between Ohio and NH. We also went scuba diving together in a rooftop pool in Utah at one point. Ken was a tremendous advocate and a great person: he will truly be missed by so many. May God be with you all.

Ken was a role model for many of us in our community. His efforts to lead a successful life while taking on the challenges that were handed to him influenced many others to do the same. Though his time might have passed, his energy to make the world a better place has become a foundation for many generations to come. We thank him and his family for that.
