Kenneth Edington Obituary

Edington Kenneth R. "Pops" Edington, age 71, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Preceded in death by parents George Edington and Vivian Burton, brothers Jim, John, and Mickey and sister Norma. Survived by wife and soul mate of 52 years, Barbara (Bond) Edington; children, Teresa (Glenn) Breckenridge, Trent (Barb) Edington; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Jessica, Trevor and Heather; and 9 month old great-grandson, Bennett; sisters, Patty Moore, Joyce Neff, and Donna Lee Pierce; and brother, Steve Edington; many nieces and nephews. A 1963 graduate of Central High School, Columbus, Ohio, 23 year employee at Timken Roller Bearing Company, and 20 year retired Supervisor with City of Columbus Sewage & Drains. Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who never missed the opportunity to spend time with his family. Ken always introduced himself and his wife, Barb, as the "Original Barbie and Ken" and enjoyed making others laugh with his jokes and story-telling. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan, golfer, hunter, bowler and dreamer of winning the lottery. Ken is continuing to give in life as a Lifeline Ohio Organ Donor. A Private Memorial Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements completed by SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the OSU Ross Heart Center and the simple wish of remembering to laugh every day! Tereasa hon, we share even more now. I remember leaving your house one time and your dad asking when the last time my car had been inspected. I said I didn't know so he popped the hood, emptied my purse on the front seat and then said everything looked ok to him. He was a funny man just wanting people to smile. I'm so sorry for you and your family's pain.
