Kenneth Meiners Obituary

Meiners Kenneth E. Meiners, passed away peacefully at his Columbus home on October 7, 2013. Kenneth was born in Morrison, Illinois on May 14, 1941. He graduated from Morrison High School in 1959 with honors and obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1963. Kenneth worked as a ceramic and metallurgical engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute for 22 years and after his early retirement, began his own consulting business in 1986. He is preceded in death by his parents Esther and Edwin (Ted) Meiners. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 51 years, Linda L. (Rasmussen) Meiners; his two children, Kemberly (Ray) Lang and Eric (Lisa) Meiners; three step siblings; several aunts and cousins. A memorial service will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to either Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 or WOSU Public Media.
