Kenneth Henry Roberson Sr.

Roberson Sr. Kenneth Henry Roberson, Sr., 72, was born in Osaka, VA. to Helen Greene and Cleophas Robinson, Sr. on July 10, 1941. He departed this earthly life for his eternal life on Friday, November 29, 2013. Kenneth attended grade school in Weeksbury, KY and high school in Harlan, KY. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineer Local 18, and was a member of the former Trucking Free Van Club in Columbus, OH. Kenneth was the last surviving member of the Golden Light Gospel Quartet of Portsmouth and was best known for his song "Some of You Members." He is preceded in death by son Marvin Roberson; daughter Katrina Jones; father Cleophas Robinson, Sr.; foster brother Willie Le Poore; uncles Earl, John, Hugh and Joe Greene; and aunt Ruth Coleman Jordan. Kenneth will forever be loved and missed by his wife of thirty five years, Laura. Kenneth is survived in life by mother, "Queen Mama" Helen Robinson; daughter, Kennetta Roberson; sons, Kenneth Roberson, Jr., Scott (Cynthia) Roberson, Eric (Michelle) Roberson and Frank Price all of Columbus, OH; brothers, Cleo (Zeda) Roberson, Jr. of Columbus, OH and Wilbert Jordan, Jr. of Portsmouth, OH; sisters, Doris Johnson, Jeanette Langford, Mary Sanford, Patricia (Al) Oliver, Yvette Jordan, Wilma Jordan all of Portsmouth, OH and Linda Goodman of Buffalo, NY; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
